For our growing European business, we are looking for a Director of Transactions, who is a true team player with a sharp financial and entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate will be responsible for driving and executing our European investment strategy, leading the European team of transactions professionals across all target markets, and establishing and maintaining industry relationships. The Director, Transactions will be reporting to the Managing Director, Transactions and Investment Management. The job location is Cologne, Germany (preferred), Amsterdam or London.

Work Experience: 12+ years in the real estate industry. Transaction experience across different European markets (in particular Germany, UK, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal) is preferred.
 
Asset Class Experience:

• mixed-use, office, retail and residential
• value-add / Opportunistic experience with including repositionings/redevelopments

Leadership: Experience in leading and training teams with an engaging and motivational leadership style. Current team is composed of four transaction professionals.

Skills:

• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Excellent real estate transaction knowledge, including underwriting, due diligence, deal structuring, deal documentation, and closing processes;
• Capital markets knowledge a plus
• Excellent deal sourcing capabilities and broad industry network
• “Hands-on” mindset to drive results
• Team player, outgoing personality, great social skills
• Understands project prioritization, urgency, and acts proactively

Travel: Availability to frequently travel to different European countries is required.
